Elite Retail Leasing was founded on over a decade of hands-on experience within Australia’s dynamic retail leasing sector. With a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record of delivering results, Elite was built to deliver practical, swift retail leasing strategies that support tenant success while aligning with landlord objectives — creating mutually beneficial outcomes across every deal.
We work with tenants ranging from single-store operators to national brands with over 50 locations, across categories including food, fashion, and service-based retail. Every strategy is tailored to suit the unique needs, goals, and pace of each tenant, while ensuring alignment with landlord expectations.
Six services, all delivered tenant-side. Most engagements combine two or three of them — a growth plan that leads into negotiations, or a portfolio review that ends in a surrender and a renewal.
We help identify and implement scalable strategies tailored to your business expansion. Maximise potential in new and existing markets.
Expert guidance to secure favourable lease terms and reduce long-term liabilities. We represent your interests every step of the way.
Minimise exit costs and navigate lease terminations smoothly. We handle the negotiation to protect your financial interests.
Recover owed rebates through strategic legal action and expert representation. We help enforce your entitlements.
Streamline lease transfers with our end-to-end support. We ensure compliance and protect your commercial interests.
Unlock retail performance with insights on operations, location, and trends. We tailor strategies to meet your business goals.
Before anything else we establish where you actually stand — passing rent against market, remaining term, option dates, make good exposure and how the centre is trading. Most bad leasing decisions come from acting without that picture.
We agree what a good outcome looks like and what we are prepared to trade for it. Knowing your walk-away position before the first conversation is what makes the negotiation work.
We run the discussion with the landlord or centre owner directly. Base rent, incentives, outgoings, permitted use, options, make good — every term gets negotiated, not just the headline number.
We work alongside your solicitor so the agreed commercial terms are properly reflected in the lease documentation, and give you a clear record of what was agreed and when it falls due.
Elite Retail Leasing acts for retail tenants across Australia, from single-store operators taking their second site to national brands with more than 50 locations. We work across food, fashion and service-based retail, in regional centres, neighbourhood centres, strip retail and CBD locations.
We are based in Melbourne, Victoria, and act on leases nationally. What does not change is the side we act for: we represent tenants only, and we are never paid by a landlord to fill a tenancy.
We act for the tenant in every dealing with a landlord or centre owner — assessing whether a site is right, benchmarking what it should cost, negotiating the commercial terms, and managing renewals, assignments and exits. Leasing agents are engaged by landlords; we are not.
Yes. We are based in Melbourne, Victoria, and act for retail tenants across Australia. Leasing conditions differ by state and by centre owner, which is often exactly why external advice is worth having.
No. We are retail leasing consultants, not lawyers. We negotiate and advise on the commercial terms, and work alongside your solicitor, who advises on and prepares the lease documentation.
Twelve to eighteen months out. Leverage in a renewal comes from having a credible alternative, and building one takes time. Engaging three months before expiry usually means accepting whatever is offered.
Tell us about your site, your lease or your growth plans. We will tell you where you stand — directly, and without obligation.
