Why Retailers Choose Elite Retail Leasing

01

We act for tenants only

Leasing agents are engaged and paid by landlords to fill tenancies. Elite Retail Leasing is engaged by you. Our view on whether a site is right, and what it should cost, is never shaped by which centre has vacancy to fill.

02

Landlord-side experience, tenant-side application

Twelve years working with some of Australia’s most prominent retail landlords, including the leasing and performance uplift of complex retail assets, means we know how the other side builds a deal — and where the flexibility genuinely sits.

03

Melbourne based, national reach

We are based in Melbourne, Victoria, and act on retail leases across Australia — regional centres, neighbourhood centres, strip retail and CBD locations, in food, fashion and service-based retail.

04

Direct, fast and practical

Retail moves quickly. Offers expire, option dates fall due, settlements are scheduled. We give you a clear recommendation and a position to work from, not a report that needs interpreting.

Retail Leasing FAQs

What does a retail leasing consultant do?

A retail leasing consultant acts for the tenant in every dealing with a landlord or centre owner: assessing whether a site is right, benchmarking what it should cost, negotiating the commercial terms of the lease, and managing renewals, assignments and exits. Unlike a leasing agent, we are not engaged or paid by the landlord.

Do you work with retailers outside Melbourne?

Yes. We are based in Melbourne, Victoria, and act for retail tenants across Australia. Retail leasing conditions differ meaningfully between states and between centre owners, and understanding those differences is a core part of the advice.

What size businesses do you work with?

Everything from single-store operators taking their second site to national brands with more than 50 locations, across food, fashion and service-based retail.

When is the right time to get us involved?

Earlier than most people think. For a renewal or option, 12 to 18 months before expiry. For a new site, before you respond to the first offer. For an exit or a dispute, before you stop trading or stop paying. Leverage disappears quickly once a deadline is close.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. Elite Retail Leasing provides commercial leasing consultancy, not legal services. We negotiate and advise on the commercial terms and work alongside your solicitor, who advises on and prepares the lease documentation.
